Arthur Schumaker is an Abstract Representational, Impressionistic, Landscape painter , Oil, Acrylic, Pencil, Mediums.

Techniques:

Impasto (enough oil that the brush or painting-knife strokes are visible) and Sgraffito (overlying layer of oil paint is etched off to reveal another layer beneath, usually of a contrasting color).

​

Objective:

My intent is to challenge and retain the viewer’s attention, draw them in, mesmerize and generate an emotional response. I am excited about creating new works and people’s response has been very positive.
