Class:  Metalwork Repousse’ and Chase

Pat Dice teaches repousse’, a metal working technique where malleable (heated) metal is shaped by hammering from the reverse side to create a low relief design on the other side.

Chase is similar in which the design (also on heated metal) is sunken.

This is a fun simplistic demonstration of what can be done with these techniques using simple tools to create decorative pieces without using pitch.

Supplies will be provided for a small project (a bookmark or a pendant).

There will be a hand out for those interested in learning more advanced techniques.
