VICTOR SALAZAR

Victor is a Colorado native, raised in Fort Collins. He and his son have lived in LaPorte for the past 21 years. 

Victor serve in the U.S. Navy after high school and spent three years in Southeast Asia. While in that part of the world, he became fascinated by the different styles and techniques of wood and stone carvings observed in the many ports of call he visited.

Carving from native and imported alabaster, Victor's styles are both realism and abstract, and he often combines the two. 

Victor's alabaster sculptures are in local and national collections.
