PAM FURUMO

Pam Furumo

Pam’s direction as an artist started young in a household filled with art supplies and the encouragement of parents who were both artists. She studied at the Rocky Mountain School of Art in Denver and CSU in Ft Collins.

She now lives in Bellvue where she uses watercolors and pastels to portray the Poudre River valley farm and ranchland that surround her studio. Painting trips to the Canyonlands of Utah and the back country of New Mexico and Colorado have brought a series of brightly colored paintings of the red earth and alpine country. Larger paintings are created in her studio from photos and drawings searching for dramatic lighting and strong compositions that take you back to that magic place.

Pam is a Best in Show artist in the annual Ft Collins Studio Tour and displays in the annual Rist Canyon Mountain Festival. Her work has been featured in Southwest Art magazine and the Rocky Mountain National Watercolor Show in Golden.
